Over the last year the Lady Nuffield's garden has been a real focal point for residents dealing with mental health issues or varying disabilities on a daily basis. The Home has a gardeing club that runs weekly utilising the space outside to create a Kitchen Garden that all residents have access to and are able to help with. This has proven to be a real benefit to those residents that have spent their lives gardening and have a lot of valuable knowledge that is very useful. Gardening has also been scientifically proven to help with depression, anxiety and social exclusion.
In the latter part of 2022 we recieved a grant from the 'Disability Gardening Fund'. This was to help fund a raised bed that residents are able sit at and help garden with.
